Answer
Valerie was the second single to be released from The Zutons' second album Tired of Hanging Around. It was released on June 19, 2006 in the UK and peaked at #9 on the UK Singles Chart. Valerie" is the third single to be released from Mark Ronson's 2007 album Version. The track features vocals by critically-acclaimed English soul singer Amy Winehouse. This version of the track was originally done when Winehouse appeared on Jo Whiley's Live Lounge show on BBC Radio 1. The single was released on 22 October 2007, the video shows a group of jazz musicians inviting a woman from the audience onto their stage to "sing" the song, followed by (presumably) the woman's friends, in the style of group Karaoke - although the women "sing" with Winehouse's voice. This single has become the highest charting single of Amy Winehouse's career so far, with previous efforts "Rehab" and "Tears Dry on Their Own" peaking at 7 and 16 respectively. Another version of the song credited only to Amy Winehouse appeared in the top 40 singles chart at the same time as the Mark Ronson collaboration, initially charting at number 37.

THIS IS ALL WRONG THE ZUTONS DID NOT DO THE ORGINAL VERSION

the original was sung by one Steve Winwood.

The first answer is correct, the original version of Valerie was composed by the Zutons in 2006. Steve Winwood's "Valerie" is a totally different song.
