The crooner Frankie Laine wrote Rawhide. I had to look it up twice because I wasn't sure I believed it the first time I read it. Not exactly his style.

Here are the lyrics:

Keep rollin rollin rollin

though the streams are swollen

keep them doggies rollin, rawhide

through rain and wind and weather

hell-bent for leather

wishin my gal was by my side

all the things I'm missin

good vittles,love and kissin

are waitin at the end of my ride

move em on head em up

head em up move em on

move em on head em up rawhide

cut em out ride em in

ride em in let em out

cut em out ride em in rawhide

move em on head em up

head em up move em on

move em on head em up rawhide

cut em out ride em in

ride em in cut em out

cut em out ride em in rawhide

ride em in rawhide

actually Dimitri Tiomkin whote the muisc for rawhide and the lyrics were written by Ned washington. Frainkie laine just sung it he did not infact write Rawhide.
