"Flintstones, meet The Flintstones, They're a modern stoneage family.
From the, town of Bedrock, They're a page right out of history.
Let's ride, with the family down the street, Through the courtesy of Fred's two feet.
When you're, with the Flintstones, Have a yabba dabba doo time, A dabba doo time, You'll have a gay old time! "
i think the "Skip Jacks" did because the singers of the Flintstones theme song sound just like the singers of season 1 & 2 of the Patty Duke Show, for which they sang the famous theme song that includes the lyrics......"Patty loves to rock n roll a hotdog makes her lose control"....
"The Bugs Bunny Overture (This Is It!)"
"Meet the Flintstones" by Hoyt Curtin .

Flintstones... Meet the Flintstones, They're a modern stoneage family. From the town of Bedrock, They're a page right out of history. Let's ride with the family down the street. Thru the courtesy of Fred's two feet. When you're with the Flintstones, have a yabba dabba doo time, a dabba doo time, we'll have a gay old time......
The theme music "Meet the Flintstones" was composed by Hoyt Curtin with lyrics by Joseph Barbera and William Hanna, the shows creators. Hoyt Curtin, Music Director, also composed the theme and background music for every episode of The Flintstones, as well as around 300 Hanna Barbera cartoons. The song was actually a reworking of sad music already composed for one of the episodes and was recorded with a 22-man jazz band and five singers For the movie The Flintstones (1994), the original music was done by Davis Newman.
"from the..town of BEDROCK" as the song on the show states. Therefore..the Flintstones live in the town of Bedrock.

I know the piece MUST HAVE been written by legendary cartoon composer Hoyt Curtin (The Flintstones, The Jetsons, Jonny Quest), as he composed a majority of the music for the series (according to imdb.com), but I have never found it explicitly stated that he wrote the theme song for the series. Hope this helps.
