Somewhat of an ambiguous question, as it could mean both artists signed during the 1990s or classic artists who continued to record for the label in the 1990s. Boyz II Men is the best known Motown artist during this decade, with hits such as "Motownphilly". Diana Ross, Stevie Wonder, and Smokey Robinson were still recording for the label, but were past their prime. Some hip-hop artists also signed on during this time. Motown in the 1990s was much different from that of the 1960s or even the 1970s or '80s. It became a division of Universal Music and Berry Gordy no longer owned the label.

Motown really tried to make their artists stars and they were very well groomed. They were taught how to dance, dress and sing. Motown also had some of the best song writers, so that combined with the talent and readiness of the artists produced huge hits resulting in financial success for Motown.

Motown is a record label, not a group. Motown is now Motown Universal, but I suspect you're asking about Motown Classic. Motown Classic produced artists such as The Temptations, The Jackson 5, Rick James, Gladys Knight and the Pipps, Martha and the Vandellas, Aretha Franklin, The Four tops, The Commodores, etc. In the event that you do not know who these artists are, I suggest going to the Classic Motown website, and then downloading at least 3 tracks from each artist.
