Well, I do not know where Marvin was actually born but he and, Audrey, is wife lived in Tulsa, OK for many, many years. Marvin wrote many famous gospel songs. Among them, probably the two most well know ones were, "Looking For A City" recorded by Jimmy Swaggart, and "What A Savior" recorded by The Cathedrals. Marvin, at one time, was a Free Will Baptist minister. One of his very best friends was John Marion Watson, lead singer of the original gospel singing quartet, The Temple Quartet, out of Evangelistic Temple in Tulsa, OK. John Marion was also a very accomplished song writer in his own right, penning such classics as "There He Stands."
