Then he kisses her before he fights.
Jacob tells Bella that he'll go fight and like, die...Bella doesn't want that so she asks Jake to kiss her right before he leaves for the fight.

well there are four books: twilight, new moon, eclipse and breaking dawn. i don't know if you are asking for a summary of twilight or eclipse... twilight: Bella (a human) falls in love with edward (a 'good' vampire), when moving to her father in forks, Washington... then three 'bad' vampires: James, Victoria and Laurent pass through the town, and James becomes attracted to Bella's 'scent'. this drives him crazy, he starts to hunt bela - causing Bella to almost die, but edward is able to save her. the book ends with a happy note: James is dead, and edward and Bella are in love. if you were talking about eclipse, this is a summary: since James is dead, Victoria (the other bad vampire) wants to get revenge on edward for killing him. she wants to kill Bella (as in mate for mate: edward killed her mate, so she will kill Edwards mate aka Bella). Victoria creates a vampire army, but with the help of Bella's friend, Jacob (a werewolf) they are able to defeat victorias army. meanwhile, there is a problem with Bella and Edwards relationship, because Bella has is in love with her best friend Jacob, but does not admit it. still, at the end Bella agrees to marry edward, and Jacob is quite sad that she chose edward instead of him.

In the second half of Breaking Dawn, Bella wakes up as a newborn vampire and goes on her first hunt. When she is on the hunt, she found the sent of some lost hikers. After Edward called out for her, she quickly stopped hunting the hikers, showing amazing self control. When she comes back from hunting, she holds Renesmee for the first time and find out about her special talent of showing people visions. She shortly finds out that Jacob has imprinted on Renesmee, and his nickname for Renesmee is Nessie, after the Loch nes Monster. Bella attacks him, but Seth throws himself in the way, only to break him collar bone. After everything is settled, Alice brings out a key with a bow attached to the end, and tells Bella "Happy Birthday"(because it is her birthday). She then leads Bella and Edward out to a little cottage in the middle of the woods. Edward and Bella go inside, and make love until the morning. When they go back to the Cullen house in the morning, Bella find out that Jacob went to Charlie's house, and phased in front of him to tell him that he does not live in a world he thinks he does. So then Charlie come over to talk to Bella, and finds out about Renesmee, but does not know about Bella. Days pass until one day, when Jacob, Bella, and Renesmee are hunting, Irena, one of the Denali coven vampires, sees Renesmee, and thinks she is an immortal child(which are illegal in the vampire world). Irena then goes to the Volturi about this, and they make the decision to come and kill the Cullens. Alice sees this, and runs away with Jasper. She leaves little hidden messages for Bella to try to figure out how to save Renesmee, if the Volturi kill her. The Cullens invite all of their friend to come be a witness for the fight to show the Volturi that Renesmee is harmless. So they get all of their friends, and one figures out that Bella has the special talent of being a shield, or putting a force field around herself. She succeeds, and has a man named J. Jenks make her fake I.D.s for Jacob and Renesmee. The Volturi finally come, and Alice comes back with another half-breed vampire to show that Renesmee will be harmless. The Volturi go away, and everyone lives happily ever after.
