∙ 12y agoThe first feature length movie with sound included is generally acknowledged to be "The Jazz Singer" with Al Jolson, released in 1927 although there were short novelty films with sound prior to that (in fact, Jolson made one in 1926, "A Plantation Act". It has not survived.)

∙ 14y ago1929 ---- That's incorrect. "The Jazz Singer" (1927) had sound. It was the first feature length film with sound dialog. There may be earlier films with sound that I'm not aware of.
