Some early feature-length films that combined animation with live-action :

Gene Kelly dances with cartoon mouse Jerry in 'Anchors Aweigh' in 1945.

'Song of the South' (1946) featured Uncle Remus singing 'Zip-adee-doo-dah' with various cartoon animals.

in 'Dangerous When Wet' (1953), Esther Williams swims with cartoon characters, Tom and Jerry.

Popular answer is not always the right one! The Popular answer ( discounting TV commercials like Choco-Diles)- is Mary Poppins ( l965) not so- the Song of the South ( l946) introduced the admixture of live actors and acting with Cartoons- this done by the Disney organization as was Poppins. It was used in Mary Poppins far more and more convincingly than in Song of the South. Zip-a-dee Dooh-Dah! was the popular and still heard theme song of the film-revived in recent times by the Jackson Five.
