There is no "real" story of Jason Voorhees, since he is a fictional character. He does not exist, and has never existed, except in people's imagination.

The FICTIONAL story of Jason Voorhees is as follows:

Jason was an ugly looking child who was born on Friday the 13th. His mother was a cook at Camp Crystal Lake.

Jason was teased by other children at the camp and pushed into the lake where he drowned. His mother went nuts and started killing people every Friday the 13th at the camp, but she was killed by a young girl in self-defence.

Jason the young boy who rose from the dead saw his mother being killed by the girl. And then Jason lived in the woods, eating animals. He killed a girl for the first time one Friday the 13th.

Since Jason was bullied as a child, the only person he trusted was his mother. So after she was killed, Jason lived alone in the woods, killing anyone he didn't trust.

He drowned in crystal lake so his mom hears these voices to kill. She killed 2 councelers that were part of the assasination of Jason. then this women decapitated Jasons moms head. And now he tries to get revenge.

Jason voorhees is the son of Pamela voorhees (killer in Friday the 13th 1980). he supposedly drowned as a boy in the lake of camp crystal lake. his mother was cook there. the counselors weren't paying attention, because they were having sex. Pamela blamed it on the counselors and started to kill them.

his mother is beheaded by the last Survivor, Alice. one year later, Friday the 13th 1981 (Friday the 13th part 2), Jason, full grown, gets his revenge, killing Alice, and vowing to take revenge on anyone entering "his" woods. thus beginning his killing spree. he is nearly killed by the only survivor, Ginny.

on Friday the 13th 1982 (Friday the 13th part 3-3d), a group of teens come to an area nearby the campsite. one by one, they are slaughtered by Jason. one survivor, AGAIN JUST ONE! kills Jason, taking an axe to his hockey mask, getting his head. later, police arrive at the scene and take the girl away from the camp.

little they know what will happen next, FRIDAY THE 13TH IV THE FINAL CHAPTER!!!! some partying teens come down to party at a house. Jason has been taking to the morgue, and wakes up. he kills the only 2 doctors there, and escapes back to the camp site area. he goes after the teens, kills some. then Jason is tricked and killed by 12-year old Tommy jarvis.

the next sight we see of Jason is Friday the 13th part VI Jason lives ( part v is an imposter). grown up Tommy tries to kill Jason at his grave once and for all, just to make sure. (only way he can die is to drown in his lake). but Jason is ressurected by lightning, and starts another killing spree. Jason kills for more films too! (Friday VII the new blood, VIII Jason takes Manhattan, and others.
