He will return during the Sasuke Retrieval Arc near the end, where he will help the useless Lee in fighting Kimimaro, whose potentially stronger than Sasuke at that time.

∙ 16y agoIf you are referring to when he reappears after he is defeated by Naruto, then it would be episode 124 (when he and his brother and sister arrive to help the leaf genin with the sound 4), though Gaara doesn't actually fight Kimmimaru until episode 126.

∙ 13y agoGaara comes back after Naruto and his team find him and "defeat" Dedara (the "girl") Chio and Sakura try to heal him, but it is too late and his sou has nearly left his body. Chio begins a forbid-en jutsu to bring gaara back. Naruto gives his chakra to Chio as she has very litle left and is dieing herself. Gaara is resrected and the Sand village's shinobi are there to greet him. Chio dies in the end and Gaara is proclamed a hero and now has hundreds who love him.
