Sadly, we never knew. The last thing in Mockingjay is the prologue, where it's revealed Katniss and Peeta married and had two kids. Katniss is saying that her kids are running around the paddock beyond the fence where she and Gale used to go. She describes how they're running, mentioning the boy runs on chubby little legs. Katniss says that when they're older she'll tell of her friends, family and life experiences. She mentions that the kids don't know they're running on a graveyard.

∙ 11y agoKatniss and Peeta have a fake "wedding" and marriage in Catching Fire, but none of it's actually real. However, at the end of the series they get married. After their marriage, they have children.

∙ 11y agoAfter they win the 74th annual Hunger Games, they go back to live in District 12. They both think they will live happily ever after until President Snow announces that that the tributes will be selected from the pool of victors. They both go back into the games.

Katniss then finds out that Peeta really does love her, but she tells him that she was only pretending to be in love with him in order to save them.
