∙ 11y agoThere are several options. Streaming websites such as hulu, Netflix, or blockbuster are usually the best way to go. These sites charge monthly fees so it's still legal and the fees are minimal.

∙ 8y agoWell, I know that many of the sites contain viruses. Often when you click on the screen of certain websites, it will open up new pages. Some, you can't click off of and you may have to restart your computer. Usually, they can't cause any long-lasting damage to your computer though and I don't have much trouble finding copies online.
However if you get lucky, you can find movies on YouTube, vimeo, and dailymotion. Those don't contain viruses at all. However, if a video says "Click the link in the description to watch" then ignore it at all costs. It is probably a virus. Make sure that the uploaders include the movie in the video. Unfortunately, many people do the "click the link to watch the movie" thing so it's often very hard to be able to find movies on those sites. It's rare to find a full movie uploaded to youtube. However, if you can find one then watch it instead of using other sites.
So those are the risks. It's really not too risky though. But when using smaller sites, be ready to click off any pages which pop up as soon as possible. If you're not quick enough, you may have to restart your computer. However, I've never had too much trouble with it before so I'd say it's usually pretty safe.
