The next books are called the same as the films, although the films Deathly Hallows Part 1 and Deathly Hallows Part 2 were only one book - Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.

The books are excellent. If you like adventure, mystery, battles, and a bit of romance, the harry potter books have it all. They have more enjoyable detail in them, and the parts that are missing in the movies are important, so you can understand the movies better if you read the books. Personally, I think that J K Rowling is a genius for having such creativity.

No, the movies change quite a lot of the books and any fan of the books would be able to easily notice the difference - especially in the latter movies. Half-Blood Prince has been considered the worst adaptation because it based to much on the romance, added in pointless scenes such as the Burrow Burning, and cut out very important scenes - such as the battle and funeral at the end. It also missed out a lot of the memories and they forgot to put in a lot of things that will be important in Deathly Hallows.

However; they are still entertaining as long as you completely forget everything you learned from the books.
