Just wait, You're told about Jiraiya being attacked by naruto in one episode, about two episodes later he actually tells of the incident and you can see the damage, several episodes later you actually get to see the real thing.
Trust me, just watch a bit more, it's not too long of a wait and you'll enjoy it more if you don't read up on the spoilers as much.
