Edward's perspective on Bella's pregnancy at first is not so good. He wants to remove "the thing" from Bella ASAP. When Bella keeps refusing, he knows she will die and just goes mad. He thinks she's crazy for not listening. But he doesn't want to cause her grief. He knows it just makes it worse. He is willing to do anything to save her. But, when he realizes he can hear the child's thoughts, he realizes he loves the child as well. He no longer worries about Bella dying. When he delivers the child though, he again worries Bella will be gone forever. But when Bella becomes a vampire he helps her to learn the ropes of being a newborn. When the Volturi threaten to kill their daughter Renesmee and the family. Edward does everything he can to protect his new family. Through his determination and love for Bella, the Volturi do not kill the Cullen's. Edward is relived to have his small family at peace again.
