The Philosophers stone is a great book as it was the first one.

But for me the Chamber of Secrets is the most popular because it is very action packed and reveals a different side of Lord Voldemort.

I think it is better to consider ALL Harry Potter books as a sequence - they really aren't separate stories, rather, the second book is the continuation of the first, the third continues where the second one left off, etc.; thus you better start reading from the first book, and if you like it, continue reading the next books. If you insist on your question despite this... I would say that each of the three is just about as good, and exciting, as the others.
