Because the musical group consists of Kevin, Joe, and Nick Jonas, and they are brothers. It was a convinient name to use; they thought of The Jonas Trio; Jonas 3; and Sons Of Jonas; but the Jonas brothers was the most reasonable.

∙ 11y agoThe Jonas Brothers became a band in 2005. They became popular after they appeared in a Disney Channel movie called Camp Rock, as well as its sequel, Camp Rock 2. Camp Rock initially aired in 2008.

The Jonas brothers at first was named the son of Jonas but then when Nick got on stage he said they were the Jonas Brothers (because they last name is Jonas and they are brothers.) and the name was stuck which was good because the boys liked it better.
