Well .... First he stopped her from driving to dat beach called "La Push" and took some parts off her car with his unpossible strenght but he did it for a reason cuz as you know Edward always wants her to be safe so he told her to not drive to that beach because it could be dangerouse for her with the wolves !!! So practically he took off some parts of her car to make her safe !!!

What is the context of New moon?
New moon is about Edward Leaving Bella and Jacob helping her with her depression. In one point of the book Alice sees Bella jumping off a cliff (for fun but she doesn't know that) and tells edward. Edward then phones Bellas phone and Jacob picks up saying Charlies at the funeral (His friends Harry clearwater) but of course edward doesn't know this. Alice and Bella are then relied on to go and save him from making the volturi (like the vampires royal family) provoked to destroying him. :)
