Eminem can't properly be labeled a hardcore or a gangster rapper. Personally I think he could be considered a Balanced Rapper, because he exhibits different styles in different songs, and does it well.

No. If you are set on using the street vernacular, young Marshall Mathers was a "punk" or a "poser." At least until he matured and developed his own style.
