No, Edward does not die, although he nearly does when he leaves Bella and goes to the Volturi and tells them to kill him, and then threatens to stand in the sun when they refuse. However, Bella goes to him at the last minute, and he is saved.

it depends. if you're talking about how he died when he was human, well he was dying again i say dying from influenza, but before he could die from it carlisle had transformed him into a vampire. If you're talking about how he did when he was a vampire, well he doesn't die.

∙ 14y agono, they were about to though. Bella stepped up and said that he could kill her instead of Edward but then Edward wasn't allowing that either. The Volturi were interested in Bella because none of their non the Cullens powers effected her. Then Alice told the Volturi that they were going to turn Bella into a vampire soon so he let them all go, with a promise that they would for sure turn her into a vampire.
