* HTML Advantage: HTML is the base of a webpage. It is the language that truly "builds" the page with tables, divisions, and outputting text in certain formats, such as bold and underlined fonts. It's presence is dominating the web - it is the most widely accepted language for web design. Disadvantage: HTML is a simple language to most, but poor (Or even the best) markup structure by the user / webmaster can result in multiple browsers displaying the markup differently (Though that's not always the case). XHTML is a new form of HTML that combines some characteristics of XML and the actual language of HTML (Meaning, XHTML is just HTML with new rules). XHTML, along with Document Type Declarations, can fix the problem of multiple browsers displaying markup differently. * CSS Advantage: CSS is a language that is designed to decorate and align (As well as hiding, cutting, etc) elements and text. HTML builds the page - And CSS designs what it makes. CSS is used to position certain HTML elements around the page, color elements (Or even the entire background of a page), border elements (Or groups of elements, in a sense), and the like. CSS cannot be used to create a webpage alone. Disadvantage:Sometimes, when you want to edit how your website looks with CSS, you'll need to edit every single page you have CSS in (Unless you use the tag for stylesheets). There are no other languages like CSS, and no languages that build upon it, meaning it's a completely new language - making it, sometimes, difficult to learn. * XML Advantages: XML is used for organizing. It has a language markup just like HTML, using tags and whatnot. The tags are made up by the user (So
The answer to this question is opinion based. The main advantage to using HTML (Hyper Text Markup Language) is that it's user friendly and very productive for formatting different fonts in the same document. The disadvantage is that it is a basic code and cannot execute detail. You would have to use CSS to really incorporate detail and make your webpage vibrant. Another disadvantage is that it's not a 'execution script' and cannot run commands like PHP can. You would have to incorporate JS or PHP to show time, etc. However, it can be good if you want a simple marquee and a few images.
HTML has many advantages that are listed below:
However, HTML also has some disadvantages:
* All the same advantages of HTML, plus: * Same as HTML, with more rules * Aids in learning proper XML markup and syntax * Forces many cross-browser compatibility issue fixes * Easy to pick up on * All the same disadvantages of XHTML, plus: * Does not fix all cross-browser compatibility issues * Difficult to begin using if writing non-XHTML syntax has become a strong habit
1- dhtml uses event handling while HTML not
2-dhtml is extension of HTML
3-HTML is markup language while dhtml is combination of HTML with css or javascript

CSS separates the content that is in the HTML from the presentation aspects of the page(s) that is in the CSS.
Advantages are that it is possible to reformat multiple pages by changing one external stylesheeet. I often use three, one basic one that contains rudimentary formats for elements, a specialized one (when needed) that may be specific to only that page or a few pages (both with media="screen" defined in the link) and a print stylesheet (media="print") in the link. The print version removes the unneeded graphical elements.
Disadvantages are the ability to overdo the CSS. Very large ones or multiples can cause slow rendering as the browser must parse all the information. Badly built ones can cuases problems with the browser as it tries to figure out what is meant. As a rule I will not use the @import value or the universal selector (*) at any time. These seem to cause problems in lots of cases.
Since rules of specificity call for the last stylesheet to have precedence, repetious use of ID's and Classes's can slow things down. That is bloat.
There are mostly advantages of using html5. The disadvantage might be the depricated tags.the
