Traditionally a barista will use 7-9 grams (about 1/4 oz.) to make a single shot of espresso (approx. 1.25-1.75 oz of liquid coffee, depending on taste).
To prepare a double espresso, one usually uses 15-18 grams of ground coffee to produce 3.0-3.5 oz of liquid espresso.
7 to 10 grams (¼ to ⅓ ounce) of ground coffee for a single shot or 12 to 18 grams (⅜ to ⅝ ounces) for a double shot.

8, and an average large has 12
A traditional "cup" of coffee is 6 fluid ounces, so the answer is 9. No clue as to why a cup of coffee is 6 and every other liquid is 8.
About 6.25 cups of ground coffee. The usual wisdom is for every 6 ounce cup of coffee (pre-brew) then 1/8 cup of grounds. Thus 8 cups of water at 6 ounces each is 1 cup of grounds, so 50 cups of water is 6.25 cups of grounds.
Coffee grounds would have caffeine, but why would you want to eat them?! Just drink a cup of coffee!
