the oil pressure sender is under the ditributer on the back side of the intake manifold... it looks like a small coke can with a two wire conector. this is an astro van 2wd

The 1986 Chevrolet Cavalier oil pressure sending unit can be found on the left-hand side of the engine. The oil pressure sending unit will be above the oil pan.
With a 4.3L engine, the oil pressure sending unit is in the back of the engine just to the drivers side of the distributor.
They had a 180 HP and a 190 HP engine available.
Standing in the front of the engine, It will be on the right back side of the distributor. It will have an electric wire pluged into the top of it and it will screew into the engine block.
At upper rear drivers side of engine close to the distributor. In some cases removing the distributor makes access to the oil pressure sending unit easier.
