No it is not. The 6x114.3 bolt pattern is the same as 6 on 4.5.6 on 5.5 would be equivalent to 6x140 (or 6x139.7).Besides bolt pattern you also need to take the wheel "offset" and "backspacing" into consideration when fitting wheels.

If memory serves me right, back in the early 70's the Chevy V8 and the Buick V8 shared the same bell housing bolt pattern. The Oldsmobile V8 and Pontiac V8 shared a different bolt pattern. But, back then GM did have a turbo 350 transmission that had two bolt patterns that would bolt to all of their V8's and some of the vehicles were produced with that transmission. Whether or not you have that double pattern transmission you probably won't know until you take it apart.

The drain plug is on the bottom of the oil pan if you look under the truck it is at about the middle of the vehicle, and about as far back as the back of the front tires. The bolt faces towards the passenger side. It should take a 15mm socket or wrench.

I think the bolt pattern is wrong. First choice is 17x7.5 (1/2" wider rim) & 5x114.3 (5-bolt on 114.3mm bolt circle). I think/hope the rim could be 7"wide as a second choice but the bolt pattern is critical. I have just picked up some 17x7 & 5x114.3 (not on the car yet). 215/50 or 225/50 tires normally take 6 to 8" wide rims.
