If you follow the exhaust tubing that leads from the engine. It is located after the exhaust manifold and after the next pipe is bolted together. Sowhere in this area you will find one. It might have just one or it will have one coming off each exhaust header side. It just depends on the model year. Some models have one after the catalytic convertor also. Again this depends on the year. The O2 sensor will be screwed into the exhaust tubing and will have an electrical connection connected to it. If you are replacing this then spray penetrating oil on it first and let it set awhile then undo the connector and uncrew it from the pipe. Hope this helps.

∙ 16y agoThere are four O2 sensors on that vehicle assuming you have a 4.3L engine. The 2.2L engine I believe has three. They are accessible underneath the vehicle and are threaded into the exhaust system. One is located on each end of the cat converter and the other ones are directly behind each bank of cylinders on the exhaust pipe. Each has a four wire harness attached that can be unplugged. I can't tell you where it is SPECIFICALLY on your vehicle, but all Oxygen sensors are on the exhaust, and most are as close to the heads as possible, usually just after the exhaust manifold, screwed into the headpipe.

Since the starter is good but will not turn the engine over when hot, check the engine for free rotation. Turn the engine over by moving the crank by hand (with the ignition off.) The engine could be sticking when hot and not be able to turn over.
