It should be gapped at a .035 that's the standard that 2005 neons have unless you purchase a pregapped spark plug manufactured for this car.

on a 4.7 engine, i believe it is .040 or refer to your underhood factory decal, it should tell you also, if no decal, get in touch with a auto part store.
