Could be, spark plug(s), contaminated fuel (water),
I have a 1985 Winnebago Chieftain with a Chevy 454 engine. I was told to gap the spark plugs to .044. The ones I took out were in there for a long time and had a gap of .05. The plugs that I bought were pregapped at .04. I got lousy gas milage at .04, I am going to try .044 and see if this improves my milage.
First off you need to make sure your timing is set right,it could have jumped timing.Second check if your getting spark to your spark plugs it needs to be a bright white or blue spark. If its orange, try replacingyour coil or distributor cap and rotor cap. And last but not least make sure your getting fuel to your carborator.
check small things like spark plugs and stuff like that but if your not getting gas to go to the engine than check out the fuel pump.

Spark plugs are a cheap and quick fix if one goes out. The cost to replace one on a 454 chevy engine however can differ depending in the spark plug brand.
