I'm not 100% sure, but try disconnecting both battery cables for 20 min. I know for sure that this works on older cars (I have done this on 1991 and 1993 Fords, etc...) hopefully it works for the new-gen 96+ computers.
As this should be an OBD1 system, removing the fuse or the positive battery cable for 10 minutes should reset the computer.
If the truck has distributerless ignition,disconnect battery for a few minutes,reconnect battery & drive the truck.The computer should reset timing within 10 miles.
remove the negative battery cable for about 30 minutes
Disconnect the negative cable on the battery! , it's very easy to do.
unhook the battery over night Unplug battery for half hour or so will reset it.
As far as I know, all computers can be reset by simply disconnecting and reconnecting the battery.
Disconnect the battery for 5 minutes.
The front wheels on a 1994 Ford Ranger lean inward due to the camber of the steering alignment. Adjustments can be made at a local tire shop.

On a 1994 Ford Ranger : Check in the front passenger footwell , under the front edge of the carpet , mounted on the toe board just to the right of the transmission hump I believe that is where the fuel pump inertia switch is on a 1994 Ford Explorer

It's located under the instrument panel to the right of the transmission hump, behind the carpet or vinyl. I had to reset it on my 93 ranger but its still in the same location as a 94 ranger. Hope this helped
