In the upcoming film My Man Is a Loser, you play Lianne, the wife of Marty (played by Michael Rapaport). Can you give us an introduction to the film?

My Man is a Loser is not your typical ROM-COM, while yes it is a movie about relationships, it's not a chick flick. It's a story about two husbands who want to better their marriages and look to their single friend for help. What I love about this movie is it's about how important friendships are, how we can learn to better ourselves from those around us :)

For how long have Lianne and Marty been married in the beginning of the movie, and when do they begin experiencing relationship troubles?

The back-story that I created was that Marty and Lianne had been married for about 10 years and it's been the past couple of years we've been struggling since his business took more of him away from me and I then became lower on his list of what mattered.

My Man is a Loser hits theaters and digital distribution this Friday, July 25. What has the promotion process been like?

It's been so much fun... doing press for a movie is fairly new to me, but everyone has been so nice and gracious. I love the fact that people want to get to know me as a person and an actor and learn about this genuinely funny movie that I am so happy I got to be a part of!

Do you have any upcoming projects you'd like to tell us about?

I shot an awesome pilot this season called Freak Me it was funded by Kickstarter and written by an amazing actor/writer Guy Oliveri. He wrote these roles for myself and five other actor friends... including Mindy Cohn! It was such a great experience and it's so funny! I'm hoping that someone will buy it... they are shopping it around now :)

You teach acting workshops as well. What sort of things do you teach?

By telling actors the mistakes I made...hopefully they won't make the same! I'm all about people realizing their true selves... Showing actors that we are one-of-a-kind, to not be what we think the business wants us to be...I spent so many years trying that, and as soon as I started to embrace who I really was, I started booking work! I often do workshops with kids for commercial and improv training! I think it's important for us to always be on our toes and expect the unexpected... It's why improv training is so important.

Which commercial was the most fun to film?

Because I've been so fortunate with commercial work... This is a tough one to answer too!!! But I loved working on a spot for Embassy suites! Jim Jenkins was the director of that and I learned so much about the art of comedy from him! I also loved working on a commercial for straight talk wireless... I still laugh when I see that commercial!! I'm so bitchy in it. It's so funny to see... Because that's so not my personality... But the spot itself is hilarious and edited so beautifully! Love it :) The most fun was shooting a spot for Kohl's... They flew us to Cape Town South Africa!!!! That was an amazing experience! As actors we are so blessed that we can see the world because of jobs that take us to awesome places!!

What was your first commercial like?

The first commercial I shot was for Seamans furniture... I was the daughter in a family and we were scrunched together on an uncomfortable couch until we finally went to Seamans and got the right fit :) I remember having so much fun that day... And we discovered that I still have that sweater that I wore when I was 12 years old from that shoot!!!!

You've been in a dozens of television commercials. How did you get into that industry and succeed?

I really feel like commercials are 22-30 second Sitcom's nowadays! Sometimes the commercials are funnier than the shows!! Hahahaha :) I started doing commercial work when I was 12 years old and after being scouted by a children's manager when I was in middle school... I have been doing them ever since! I love them!

What movies and TV shows are on your summer must-watch list?

TV shows...Married and You're The Worst on FX. Of course Project Runway and The Real Housewives!! Films...I loved Boyhood, such an awesome movie and Begin Again...another beautiful romantic film!

If you could remake and star in any romantic comedy, which would it be, and who would you cast opposite you?

This is such a tough question...because I love so many romantic comedies! I loved the movie Seems Like Old Times starring Goldie Hawn and Chevy Chase!! I would love to play that role with Chris Pratt playing Chevy Chase's character :) And of course I would love to any John Hughes movie starring me and Zac Efron or Zach Braff...I love me some Zachs! So cute!!! I became an actor because of romantic comedies... I love the idea of the nerdy guy or the quirky girl getting the one that they wanted in the end!
