How did you go about preparing for your role as George in MTV's "Eye Candy"? Was reading the novel that the series is based on part of your preparation?

Yes, I love R.L Stine. I actually got to have dinner with him and his wife while filming in NYC. In the book George doesn't exist, actually the show runner changed my characters name from Juan in the original pilot, to George because his sister's name is George and he liked it.

Your character, George, is Lindy's fellow co-worker, confidant and friend. How would you describe Lindy and George's relationship?

They are very close, but not in a romantic way. They always have each other's back and George looks at Lindy as a sister...literally his BAE (before anyone else).

Are you as close to Victoria Justice off-screen as you are on-screen?

I would say yes...Lol. I am really protective of her, she's so sweet. I want to always make sure she's ok. Bodyguard, confidant...whatever she needs.

As a Mexican-American, how does your role as a tech-savvy hacker break the Latino actor stereotype?

It's nice to see a Latino playing someone that the young Latin community can look up to...To see themselves portrayed as funny, genius, confident...as heroes.

So the killer's identity on "Eye Candy" is never revealed to us on the show. Is it true that the cast doesn't know who the killer is either?

We didn't find out who the killer was on set until the day we received the 9th episode script. All through filming everyone was like, "It's you, isn't it?." One of the earliest suspects was George. He is the smartest person and the go-to person for Lindy, but in the end we find out it was not him after all.

"Eye Candy" is filled with unexpected thrills...what's one storyline that has really surprised you? Was there a scene or episode that when you read the script you couldn't believe?

I got excited when Tessa was introduced and hoped she'd have a potential love interest for George (although he flirts a lot) so I was sad to see Tessa go. Theodora did a great job with the role.

Your character George often serves as comic relief to the dark subject matter of "Eye Candy". What do you think George's humor adds to the show?

I think George adds light in a very dark world. People often tell me, "OMG the show is so scary. I'm always excited when I see you because I know he will be funny or at least make me more relaxed." I like that George brings that and I love to make people laugh.

Are you naturally tech-savvy or did you have to study up before filming "Eye Candy"?

I trained with a hacker and so did Victoria. We really jumped right into it. But aside from playing a genius hacker, I'm not really tech savvy lol!!

"Eye Candy" is MTV's first scripted crime drama. Why do you think "Eye Candy" is a great addition to MTV's weekly lineup?

It's taking MTV in a new direction and it really isn't afraid to show you blood and Horror which I appreciate.

Instagram is my fav right now. I love pictures! And it's a great way to stay in touch with fans.
