Most homeowners policys exclude gradual deterioration, and losses must be sudden and accidental, but I would certainly file the claim. They will not ever (that I have heard of, and I have heard of a lot) cover a "refit" they will cover a spot repair some of the time, depending on the company and the circumstances.

STEP 1 Clean the sealing surfaces and fit the coolant pump to the pump housing. STEP 2 Lubricate the O-rings with an acid-free Vaseline and fit the sleeve together with the pump. STEP 3 Refit the boost pressure control valve (turbo cars). STEP 4 Refit the coolant hose to the throttle body and refit the screws on the thermostat housing. STEP 5 Refit the screw which holds the coolant pipe to the front left-hand corner of the engine. STEP 6 Reconnect the coolant hoses and pipes to the coolant pump. STEP 7 Refit the steering servo pump with its bracket and put the belt back. STEP 8 Relieve the belt tensioner of strain, using a ratchet handle extension, and remove the drill bit/or the like STEP 9 Refit the pressure pipe between the intercooler and the throttle body and refit the bypass hose (turbo cars). STEP 10 Refit the intake hose (turbo cars) and refit the air cleaner. STEP 11 Make sure that the drain plug is in tight. Fill with coolant and check the system for leaks.

It is possible but unlikely. It would probably be too expensive to refit.
