Why did Caesar push the crown away?

Caesar pushes away the crown handed to him by Marcus Antonius (Antony if reading story of Julius Caesar) because he had Antony plan to give him the crown and turn it away because the people of Rome didn't want a King/Dictator and Caesar wanted the crowd to cheer for him. But the plan was for Antony to try a second time and Caesar would take it, but Caesar was worried the crowd would get upset if he took it the 2nd time so he denied it again and on the third time he wanted to take the crown badly but was worried about how he'd look in front of the people. Hope this helped

Who designed Cleopatras needle?

Cleopatra's needles were two obelisks, but they did not have much to do with Cleopatra herself. According to the Egyptian Antiquities Authority, they were created in the quarries at Aswan then displayed in front of the temple at Heliopolis. When the Ptolemies took over Egypt, the obelisks were moved to Alexandria. When Cleopatra built the temple to Julius Caesar, she had them moved and set up in front of his temple. As to who designed them, we simply don't know.

What was unusual about Julius caesars horses feet?

Caesar's favorite horse had split hoofs and looked like toes rather than a solid hoof. It is unclear if these toes were on all four hoofs, just the front, or only one hoof. At any rate, it was noticeable enough for the ancient writers to mention it.

What happened to Julius Caesar after crossing the Rubicon River?

grrr... i know slightly what happened, but i had wanted to get a more accurate and reliable answer myself. but to help you out, what basically happened was this: Julius went into rome with his one legion. now mind that from all the victories in gual and the new law that said they could keep the plunder, the soldiers had become very rich. So Caesar goes into rome with the one legion and walks away from his legion to stand in front of them. then he proceeds to say something along the lines of "Look at my men. Look at how rich I've made them. Follow me and you too can become rich." and with the people already distrust in the senate with that offer, many soldiers of pompey switched sides. and that is how Julius Caesar took rome with little to no blood spilt... but that is a broad generalization and i would really like to get specifics.. hope that helps and hope this wasn't too late xD by: bre burhop
