I believe that the name "Lisa" became popular due to Eileen Fulton. She began portraying a character named Lisa Miller in 1960 on As the World Turns. She has been a popular character throughout the history of the show. My mother and grandmother were both fans of the show and I think I was named for her. Ms. Fulton still appears occasionally on the soap, which plays on CBS and is scheduled to be cancelled in September 2010. She has been married many times over the years, she is Lisa Miller Hughes Eldridge Shea Colman McColl Mitchell Grimaldi Chedwyn.

I love her and will be sorry to see the last of the show.
