Who came first the pilgrams or Indians?

Knights existed in ancient times. They are simply heavy cavalry who supply their own horses and armor. The rules of chivalry and knighthood, the typically medieval armor, and jousting, all came much later in the middle ages, and possibly became what we imagine them being, a couple hundred years after the Vikings raids started. Nonetheless, the knights were around in the days of the Roman Republic.

I am not sure how old the Viking civilisation is (if civilisation is not a contradiction in terms for such an apparently warlike and uncivilsed race!), but the ancient Egyptian civilisation dates back well over 5,000 years, i.e., 3,000 B. C., some people would say far older than that.

It is possible that the Viking civilisation is as old as that, but I doubt it. If they had been that advanced at that time, when Britons were still living in the late Bronze Age, they would no doubt have invaded and raped and pillaged Britain a lot earlier than they did.
