However, in the case of Franklin Delano Roosevelt (32nd US President), his wife was the niece of a President. FDR married his fifth cousin, once removed, Eleanor Roosevelt, and her uncle (also his distant cousin) was Theodore Roosevelt, the 26th US President.
Only two sons of Presidents ever became President:
John Quincy Adams (6th President) was the son of John Adams (2nd President)
George W. Bush (43rd President) is the son of George H. Bush (41st President)
Benjamin Harrison (23rd President) was the grandson of William Henry Harrison (9th President).

∙ 9y agoMany, if not all of the presidents were uncles. Any man whose siblings have children is an uncle. George Washington, Franklin Roosevelt Gerald Ford, Bill Clinton, and Barack Obama are the only presidents to have only half-siblings.
