The Flasher Relay is under the dash, near the steering column. It is snapped into a clip that is mounted on column support on the left side. It uses a standard flasher relay (round), common on all GMC/Chev products of that general age. A new electronic heavy duty flasher is available at most auto parts stores that will handle up to 10 bulbs.
