The crankshaft position sensor is behind the catalytic converter, in the area where the engine mates to the transaxle. Access is from below, and you should wait for it to cool down. This answer is specific to the DOHC 2.0L Zetec engine.
it is located near the front of the engine .or it is located at the side of the block..
WRONG! On the 2.3L/2.4L it is located on the front of the engine next to the oil filter. On the 2.2L engine it is located at the back of the engine next to the coil packs.
Actually, if your talking about the crank angle sensor, which determines ignition timing by reading when the crank is spinning, it is located on the passenger side right next to the intake plenum. There is going to be three connectors horizontally attached to a bracket above it, and the plug for the sensor itself is vertical. It looks like the end of cylinder head, i.e. a circle with a bolt on the upper right corner.
On the 4.0L It's on the bell housing of the flywheel. Open the hood, look from drivers side past the engine toward the rear of the vehicle (past firewall). Google the picture of what it looks like and you'll see it at 2 o'clock position on the bell housing. I'd suggest a ratchet crescent wrench to take it off. B-tch to get to with regular ratchet.
On the 4.7L it is on the side of the block, in front of the flywheel.
Crankshaft Position Sensor:
If it's Front Wheel Drive, it may be located towards the Bottom of the Block on the Firewall side.
A Automotive Manual (Haynes for example) will describe location.
Head on the side right side that is it has a plug [electrical and two bolts-
right behind the harmonic balancer.... has 2 bolts into the motor and 3 wires that go into the motor and out of the side with the connector
its in side lower timing cover
Im new to the eclipse game, but my eclipse had the same problem. Are you getting fire to the coil. If not check the sensor on the back of the motor under the intake, possibly the throttle position sensor, im not sure what the name is but it works, i promise.
I have the same problem on my Mitsubishi Eclipse RS 1995. Seems to be a problem in Map sensor. I was also told it might be the ECU
The 2004 Mitsubishi Evolution fuel temperature sensor can be found on the top of the gas tank. The fuel temperature sensor will be near the front of the gas tank.
the cam position sensor and ignition coil are inside the distributor. the crank position sensor is located on the bottom front of the engine, behind the belts on the left side.
It is called a APPS accelerator pedal position sensor. It is located on the front of the engine. It is the part that the throttle cables hook to.
where is the camshaft position sensor located on a 2001 mitsubishi eclipse v6
On you car.
Found it at front bottom of engine
The 1995 Mitsubishi Eclipse crankshaft position sensor is located on the back of the engine. The crankshaft position sensor will be near the bottom of the engine cover.
where is located theknock sensor 97 mitssubishi eclipse
The vehicle speed sensor is located on the transaxle
where is the speed sensor located on a 95 eclipse 5 speed
The crankshaft position sensor is located on the front of the engine inside the timing belt cover
Crank position sensor is located next to the crankshaft. In order to replace it you might have to remove the timing belt. In the most models you just can remove remove the timing belt cover and replace the sensor.
left side of the intake manifold.
turbo or non turbo?
behind the crank shaft pully and the timing cover and then another pully is there two bolt hold it on
