I think that to answer this question is challenging, because it vaires from baby to baby. However, statistics have shown that the average baby says there first single word between ten to twelve months and at the age of three or so, they are able to express their thoughts through complete sentence or ideas. However, there are possiblities that they will continually shriek for what they want. As I've stated early that the speaking age varies, it apllies to me. I was able speak at the age of two and my first single word spoken was in between eight to nine months.

Babies typically begin to say their first words between 9-14 months of age. However, they may start babbling and making sounds as early as 6 months old. It's important to remember that language development can vary widely from child to child.
