when an emperor died it was obvious that their was a succesion dispute between his sons and was one of the major reason for the decline of the mughals to.when humayun felt ill all his sons broke out fighting for the throne even humayun had not died .it was to avoid such a costly battle that aurangzeb divided his empire between his sons but he was not succesful and all his sons fought and destroyed th strength of the empire
