The Copernican Hypothesis is the hypothesis that the sun, rather than the earth, was at the centre of the universe. Copernicus theorised that the stars and planets, including the earth, revolved around a fixed sun. He worked on it from 1506-1530, but it wasn't published until the year of his death in 1543.

"Galileo's hypothesis" usually refers to his idea that a falling body will fall with uniform acceleration, in the absence of friction, or where friction is negligible. He also expressed a proportionality between the distance of fall and elapsed time squared.

he was the first to create a hypothesis for a heliocentric universe, where the planets revolve around the sun. before, aristotle and ptolemy believed it was a geocentric universe, where the planets and the sun revolved around earth. copernicus's hypothesis was proved by galileo later on.
