Since the Earth is roughly spherical (shaped like a ball), you can start out from the
Prime Meridian, head out in either direction you like, and end up in any place you
want to. The thing is, though, that if you pick the right direction, your trip is shorter.
Starting from anywhere on the Prime Meridian and heading for Kentucky, your trip
is a lot shorter if you travel west.
That's true of any place in the USA, except for the outer end of the Aleutian Islands
in Alaska.
Los Angeles is on the western side of the prime meridian. The whole U.S. is in the western hemisphere, therefore all of the U.S. is on the west side of the prime meridian. :)
It depends on which side the meridian is from the Prime Meridian. The Prime Meridian is the zero line of longitude that passes through the Greenwich Observatory, London, England.
The opposite side of the Prime Meridian is called the 180th meridian. In a circular system of 180 degrees, the two conspire to create what scientist refer to as the great circle.
The 180th meridian is on the other side, and the International Date Line generally follows the 180th meridian. (The Prime Meridian is the 0th meridian, with there being 360 lines of longitude across the globe)

No. The prime meridian if on the side of the earth not the center. The prime meridian is the 0 latitude line. On the other side you have the 180 degree latitude line, sometimes called the international date line.

The Prime Meridian runs through London so England is on the east and the west of it.

The main difference between the eastern and western hemispheres is their geographical location. The eastern hemisphere includes parts of Africa, Asia, Europe, and Australia, while the western hemisphere includes parts of North and South America. Additionally, the eastern hemisphere is often associated with older civilizations and cultures, while the western hemisphere is known for its more recent history of colonization and globalization.
