Perhaps in a literal sense, your fear stems from a fear of death or dead things, or bones, or monsters, in general. Symbolically, a fear of skeletons may indicate a fear of change, or of keeping secrets, or the fear of accidentally letting a confidence slip. It is also possible that the fear stems from a bad experience involving a skeleton, perhaps at Halloween.
