First, Read very carefully. Stephen King says County Not Parish. Secondly, Up until 1880 the State Penitentiary was in Baton Rouge. After that all Inmates were moved to Angola, That was in 1880.... So If King was indeed talking about Louisiana at all... The Prison was Angola.
That may be true, but if you closely examine the death warrant the warden hands Paul it clearly says the "Parish of Claiborne". As we know Louisiana is the only state to use the term "Parish"
