Why not just remove the bad bulb and look see what model it is?
most likely a bulb b/c if it was the fuse your other brake and signal light wouldn't work... most vehicles the brake and signal light are all in one bulb... try replacing the light bulb
You can replace the dome light bulb in a 2002 Chevy Cavalier by first prying the dome light cover off of the light. Then, remove the bulb and replace it by twisting the bulb from the socket.

Could be any number of things: * burnt out bulb, * blown fuse, * bulb loose in light socket, * corrosion in the light socket, * wire disconnected or shorted out.
