My motivation for applying for this role is the mission of International Federation of is red cross and red crescent (IFRC) is increasingly relevant in today's globalized world with a view to preventing and alleviating human suffering, and thereby contributing to the maintenance and promotion of human dignity and peace in the world. As a citizen of a third world country and with my extensive travels to Africa, I am particularly aware of the necessity for providing assistance to victims of disasters, and combines this with the development work to strengthen the capacities of its National Societies. Having worked many years with Humanitarian Organisations, I am convinced that the approach of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies, in particular its focus on coordinating and mobilizing relief assistance for international emergencies.
