your heater core is leaking anitfreeze! heatercoreleaks antifreeze into the heater & ac vents causing a burnt spell & oily film on the front window.
There are many different kinds of smells that could be coming from the brakes. There could be a burning smell.

If you have white smoke coming out the tail pipe and the smoke has a sweet smell to it, the car has bad problems.
If you have air fresheners it might help. But if the smell is coming from the seats you might need to replace the fabric on the seats. It just depends on where the smell is coming from. Also worth trying are Febreeze spray on the carpets and fabric (it may require repeated applications) and/or Bounce dryer sheets under the seats. Depending on where and what the smell is, shampooing the carpets and upholstery may be effective. Try to keep the interior of the car as dry as possible, musty smells could be mold or mildew which love moisture. Repair any leaks that can be found (trunks are horrible for getting wet and breeding molds and mildew, check yours if you have one).
Hey Karmon==I use a shower grout mold stain remover. It helps if you find one that smells good. GoodluckJoe
could possibly have a rodent or rodent nest inside the heater box.
You should ask the people who do that. You either smell fantastic or a weird odor is coming off you.
it is most likely the brake calipers sticking, as I recently had this problem on my 2007 dodge grand caravan. They did not do it all the time, but would stick out for a brief period of time after braking, thus causing the burning smell, and then shortly after retract far enough so that there was no longer cantact, and therefore, the burning smell then went away.
I found this tutorial "How to Remove Odors from Your Car" that may be of benefit - see relevant link below .
One of the brake may be dragging or staying on. Check the calipers and hoses.
That sounds like a clogged catalytic converter. Answered by Littlestown Lube & Brake Littlestown, PA 717-359-5022
It sounds like the heater core is leaking. Check for the smell of antifreeze and that will confirm the bad heater core.
If you have flickering lights and smell wires burning in your Dodge Caravan, you need to get that checked out by a professional. This actually happened to me once too and my van started on fire, it was horrible.
The smell can come from the catalytic convertor in your car's exhaust system. There is a product on the market that you add to your gas tank that will clean out this smell. Purchase it at an auto parts store. It is made for this purpose. http://www.autozone.com/servlet/UiBroker?UseCase=S001&UserAction=viewSimpleDiagInfo&Parameters=info

They go in dirt and leaves that's where the smell is coming from
Your house may smell like electrical fire or nail polish remover is coming out of the AC vents because you have fried wiring. You should make sure that you do not have a wall fire.
