Chromatin is the complex combination of DNA and protein that makes up chromosomes. The functions of chromatin are to package DNA into a small volume to fit in the cell, to strengthen the DNA to allow mitosis and meiosis, and to serve as a mechanism to control DNA expression and replication. Chromatin contains genetic material - instructions to direct cell functions.

The primary functions of chromatin are 1) to package DNA into smaller volume to fit into the cell

2) to reinforce DNA macromolecule to allow mitosis 3) to prevent DNA damage 4) to control gene expression and DNA replication. These were the various functions of DNA.

Chromosomes carry the encoded genetic information of the plant on them.

They are responsible for regulating metabolic processes within the cell (and plant) as well as cell division and the replication of the plant through sexual reproduction (formation of sex cells through meiosis) and vegetative reproduction (through mitosis).

in eukaryote cells the DNA is very tightly packed to form strands of chromatin in the nucleus. in turn, the chromatin condenses (i.e. comes together) to form 'X' shaped chromosomes.

inb a plant cell

Is a chromatin found in plant cell or a animal cell?

Both. Chromatin is just the loosely wound, diffuse form of a chromosome that is the usual state in the cell's nucleus.

Is a chromatin found in a plant cell?

Yes there is a chromatin in a plant cell as well as an animal cell. Each chromatin thread is made up of proteins and DNA. When the cell is about to go through cell division, the chromatin strands in the nucleus get closer together, condense upon each other which then are called chromosomes.

Is there a chromatin in plant cell and animal cell?

Yes. All cells have chromatin. It contains the DNA.

Is the Cell chromatin plant cell or animal cell?

It is Both.

Is chromatin in animal and plant cells?

Yes, chromatin is in both animal and plant cells. Chromatin is contained in the nucleus and it contains the cell's hereditary information, DNA.

Is chromatin a plant cell or animal cell?

both, only in eukaryotes

well i think that that the Chromatin is found in the nucleus next top the nucleolus

Is the chromatin part of the animal cell or plant cell?

Both the plant and the animal cell since both possess nucleus.

What cell is Chromatin found in?

Chromatin is found in every cell's nucleus. It contains DNA.

Do animal cells have chromatin?

yes they do because they have a nuclous
