Hematuria is the presence of red blood cells in the urine, which can be a sign of kidney or bladder issues. Hemoglobinuria, on the other hand, is the presence of free hemoglobin in the urine, usually due to breakdown of red blood cells outside of the bloodstream. Hemoglobinuria can result from conditions like hemolytic anemia or transfusion reactions.
