the main difference is:

in drum printer paper and pen(which r used to draw on paper and it can be one or more than one) moves simultaneously to draw..the movement of drum gives vertical positioning and movement of pens give horizontal positioning.

but in flatbed..paper does not move..all the movement is done by the pen and able to draw complex graphics..

They don't do anything that you can see automatically. But they live to please you. If that's what you want the plotter to do, then that's what you program the plotting software to do, and the plotter will do it.

What is the uses of plotter?

A plotter is a computer printing device for printing vector graphics. In the past, plotters were widely used in applications such as computer-aided design, though they have generally been replaced with wide-format conventional printers, and it is now commonplace to refer to such wide-format printers as "plotters," even though they technically aren't.

Where are plotters used?

A plotter is someone whom writes the game story/script. They do not design it although they oftentimes have a great imagination. It is the plotters job to find the interests in the selected age group and work with others. In computing, a plotter is a type of printer for printing vector graphics. Unlike conventional printers, plotters work more like a robot with a pen. To plot, you would tell it to move to the first position, put the pen down, move to the second location, and lift the pen back up. Because of inkjet printers, plotters are mostly obsolete these days except for specialized types for usages such as engraving. Artists and hackers have rediscovered pen plotters. Modern plotters, like today's printers, use inkjet cartridges instead of a pen to print designs. Even though this feature technically makes them no longer fall under the definition of a plotter, they are still commonly referred to as such.
