When dealing with a photo essay over a standard essay there are many similarities, but as such there are defining differences. With a photo essay you are required to captivate the viewer with an art of nothing more than pictures. These pictures must show a dynamic story which the audience can relate with. Instead of having a writing format to plan out your paragraphs (as found in a standard essay structure), you must plan your shots in what would be called a "shot list". But like all good essays it takes time and practice, with a lot of imagination.
